Fred Von Canon
PRESIDENT
Fred Von Canon is the Visionary and President of Maverick Solutions. Before founding Maverick in 1999, Fred served as a pilot in the US Navy and as a Senior Instructor at Oracle.
Fred recognized that there was a better way to provide training for both project teams and end users. As Software as a Service became the industry standard, Fred pioneered Maverick’s corresponding Training as a Service model by fusing digital training with digital adoption. He is dedicated to creating premier training and custom business solutions and remains actively engaged in strategic innovation to ensure that Maverick delivers on its promise of world-class training, when you need it most.
Fred holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Fred resides in Wake Forest with his wife, Anita. He has five kids and nine grandkids.
Diana Harney
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Diana Harney is the Integrator and Chief Operating Officer at Maverick Solutions, working closely with the Visionary and President as a trusted advisor. She has served Maverick in various financial, operational, infrastructural, and administrative leadership capacities since 2011. Diana is responsible for the cohesion, organization, and execution of Maverick’s day-to-day operations.
Diana epitomizes company culture in everything she does and has been integral in driving Maverick’s growth. Diana has had a prominent impact on Maverick’s success, from her strategic involvement in Maverick’s transition to subscription-based Cloud training, to her influential leadership throughout Maverick’s organizational transformations. Her depth of Maverick and industry knowledge has been indispensable in identifying challenges within the organization, and her work within Maverick’s leadership team has paved the way for establishing solutions and implementing processes to continually grow and expand the business.
Diana is a native of Wake Forest and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Meredith College. She currently resides in Raleigh with her husband and three children.
David Alley
VP, SALES & ALLIANCES
David Alley is the Vice President of Sales & Alliances and has been with Maverick since 2020. He is responsible for all revenue functions, including sales, strategic partnerships & alliances, marketing, and sales operations.
David’s background includes over 10 years of success in high-growth sales across the technology space. He brings experience from some of the world’s most well-known cloud-software giants and tech startups. Having worked with a diverse range of clients, he understands the importance of being a trusted advisor to help solve each company’s unique set of needs.
David holds a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University. He resides in the Raleigh area with his wife and three sons.
Lindsey Misko
VP, DELIVERY
Lindsey Misko is the Vice President of Delivery at Maverick Solutions. She leads the implementation and execution of customized training solutions for Maverick clients. Through process-proven project planning and execution, Lindsey ensures Maverick’s training services meet the unique needs of our clients.
Lindsey has been working in education and training for over twelve years, with most of that time focused on developing and implementing training projects and programs for adult learners. She has been a teacher, instructional designer, project and program manager, and trainer for a variety of local and international initiatives.
Lindsey is PMP-certified and holds a master’s degree from North Carolina State University. She is local to the Wake Forest area and lives with her husband and two daughters.
Paul McClintock
VP, TECHNOLOGY & PRODUCT
Paul McClintock is the Vice President of Technology & Product at Maverick Solutions. He oversees product strategy and technology and is responsible for ensuring that the Maverick product experience is viable and feasible for the business, while consistently creating happy customers.
Paul’s background includes 22 years of experience in technology product development. His experience is deeply technical and includes agile methodologies, product management, and product strategy. Paul has worked within his organizations as well as with B2B partners & customers large and small to help them reach their full potential.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech.
Kate Alley
VP, CLIENT STRATEGY
Kate Alley is the Vice President of Client Strategy at Maverick Solutions. She leads the strategic direction and design of customized training solutions for Maverick clients. Kate is responsible for guiding clients through key strategic decisions and milestones and fostering client relationships to ensure they achieve long-term value and satisfaction with Maverick products and services.
Kate has been working in consulting and education for nearly ten years. Since 2019, Kate has held various managerial and client-facing positions at Maverick, overseeing client consulting, curriculum design, and written curriculum development.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a master’s degree from North Carolina State University. Kate is a North Carolina native and has been in the Triangle area for 12 years. She now lives in Raleigh with a giant Bernese Mountain Dog and a tiny tortoiseshell cat.
Ben Brittain
SR DIR, OPERATIONS
Ben Brittain is the Senior Director of Operations at Maverick Solutions. He leads a dynamic branch of the organization, which includes Human Resources, Security & IT, Compliance, Contracts, and Accounting. Ben is responsible for Maverick’s operational support and strategy.
Ben’s experience in business operations spans multiple industries, including multi-family real estate, secondary and higher education, private healthcare, and SaaS.
Ben holds a bachelor’s degree from Longwood University and a master’s degree from the University of Richmond. Ben lives in Raleigh with his wife, son, and golden retriever.
